Feminists Who Don’t Give A F*ck.
I’m ridiculously pleased with this. But I must write it out without the censorship. FEMINIST WHO DON’T GIVE A FUCK.
Instead of doing readings, today has been inadvertently been all about socializing! I need to eventually do readings and maybe I’ll do some torts after writing up this post. Or I may go to sleep & start early tomorrow morning. Hm…
Anyways, my aunt & uncle came to visit with my cousins. It’s funny how affectionate people are, I guess I didn’t expect my family to miss me so much. But it’s much appreciated (even though it makes me second guess my plans of becoming a British Columbian).
This was followed up with hanging out with some of my favourite crew of friends. My best friend introduced me to some of her friends over the summer and they are just the most lovely people. It’s one of those rare situations when I have clicked so well with them. They are super sweet & one of the reasons that I may end up back in Calgary. The only downside is they are super generous when it comes to inflating my ego. I may just explode with arrogance!
We hit up the Lazy Monkey in Calgary (https://www.facebook.com/lazymonkeycalgary?v=info). It’s a Taiwanese place. I had this delicious Fizzy Pineapple Bubble Tea with pearls. It was like carbonated pineapple juice! (Aside: I absolutely love pineapples right now). Also, they had a vegetarian hot spring noodle soup that used soy ham & vegetable broth. It was quite delicious! I also ate with chopsticks the entire time! I’m starting to get the hang of them but I’m rather slow, which means I don’t eat as much. They also had these delectable corn on the cob pieces that had been fried & seasoned - the seasoning was amazing.
This was followed by an epic game of Settlers of Catan with the Cities expansion pack. I adore this game and won again (mostly because my best friend and I were a team)! My win streak is 100% currently - of course I’ve only played Settlers twice. I need to ensure I gather up my law buddies to play with my Settlers game in Victoria.
Once the game finished, I totally wanted another bubble tea and being the awesome people that they are my friends agreed. So we ended up in Lazy Monkey again. I had Fizzy Watermelon Bubble Tea with Strawberry Jellies. It was an amazing combination. My best friend picked the watermelon & I really added the zing with the strawberry jelllies. Teamwork!
And that’s been my day thus far. <3 Now to do readings. I’ve decided I will finish up torts.
